Michaela Leonardo Antoine Almonester Ms. Almonester funded and built two identical buildings on Jackson Square. The Jackson monument is in between the two buildings. Rumor has it that Andrew Jackson and Almonester were lovers. Almonester was a very rich woman and funded much of the architect in the city of New Orleans.
